A Wonderful Fall Weekend.

It's been a fun and peaceful weekend, spending time with Joe. There is something about the crisp fall air, that makes everything feel extra special.

On Friday, we went to go see Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D! It was a very fun and neat experience!

Saturday, we made caramel apples together. It was lots of fun (and messy;) and very yummy! Then, we finished decorating for fall, and turned on the fireplace (something I've been anxiously waiting to do!). Sunday morning, I made (semi burnt;) blueberry pancakes, and Joe and I watched General Conference together. Wasn't conference great?! Lots of great talks!

It was a great fall weekend with my hubby!
The only bad thing about this weekend, was that it had to come to an end.

Date night To See Julie & Julia

Last night, Joe and I had a little date night.
First, we had dinner together at Jim-N-Nicks. It was of course DELICIOUS! Afterwords, we got dessert at Cold Stone, and walked over to the theater to see Julie & Julia! Joe and I LOVED it! It was funny, and witty, and the perfect date night movie! It was a fun night, spending time with my hubby!

What We've Been Up To

Watching the sun set, making michigan hot dogs (thank you mom for the special seasoning;), hanging out with each other, spending time with little miss Kismet, going to the art museum with a friend, obsessing over J&K+8, yelling at the T.V. while watching basketball, picking out paint colors and going to the movies...it's been fun!

Star Trek

Thursday night Joe and I had a little date night to go see Star Trek. I promise, we are NOT trekies! Although I must say, Joe is a fan. After we got married he forced me to watch all of the Star Trek series! I have to admit, I got a little into it...a little. We started out by going to one of our favorite restaurants, Jim-n-Nicks. We love this restaurant for 3 reasons: They have delicious BBQ food, they have endless corn bread muffins with cheddar cheese inside, and their service is great! Their waiters are awesome! They are always so friendly, outgoing, and totally on top of things. We know every time we go there, we are going to have great service, good food, and a lot of fun with our waiter! After our yummy dinner, we went to go see the much anticipated,
Star Trek.(Flikr)
It was a great movie, even if you have never watched Star Trek. Very entertaining, and action filled!
Now, we are counting down for the terminator movie to come out!
What has my husband turned me into? :0)

Coraline

Last night a happy Joe came home from getting a 100% on one of his finals ( He has another final tonight, so wish him luck :), and said, "we're going on a date!" He was the one who deserved the date, but it's just like him to do something like that! I had been wanting to see Coraline since before it came out, mainly because it was in 3D! We have gone to the theater and seen 2, 3D movies before. The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Fly Me To The Moon. I loved the 3D experience! As soon as he told me we were going on a date, I knew he was taking me to go see it!
It was a good movie, I wasn't totally amazed, but it was good. I don't know if we were sitting too far away, but the 3D aspect of the movie, wasn't quite as good as the other 3D movies we have seen. In Fly Me To The Moon, things really popped out at you, and they used camera angles to complement the 3D effect. The movie itself was pretty good, although it was kinda scary! Or I'm just a wuss! It was a fun kind of scary for us, although I don't know that I would take really young children to see it. All in all it was a good movie, and we had a lot of fun!
