Happy Father's Day!

Here are some of the things that makes my Dad, the great father that he is...~He is always just a phone call away when you need someone to talk to.
~He cracks us up!
~He has a great sense of humor.
~He loves his children with all of his heart.
~He is always there for you, as a friend, a support, a father, a mentor....
~He believes in you. As a kid, I would tell him my aspirations as crazy and far fetched as they may have been, and he would always say "OK, you can do it."
~He is understanding, sensitive, and kind.
~He keeps his promises. Growing up, I knew if my dad promised something, he would do everything he could to keep it. I knew I could put all my trust in my dad.
~He puts his whole heart and mind into what he is doing.
~He is a devout husband and father.
~I'm MOST happy when I'm around him.
~He has a strong testimony, and lives by it everyday.I'm so grateful to have you as my father...I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for being who you are, and for all that you do for your children. We LOVE you!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!

Long Lost Post

The other day I was going through our thousands of pictures on our computer, trying to delete the ones that weren't very good (pictures of the ground...etc). I came across a couple videos and pictures, that I had meant to post, but forgot about. So, I thought I would do a long lost post!

The first video is of my nephew Carson. It's a video I took of him while we were in Park City Utah. He had a microphone that played music, and as soon as we turned it on for him, he started dancing for us! It was so cute!It was so much fun to watch! I LOVE his little one step forward, one step back! I asked Sean if he had taught him that, and he said he didn't. What can I say...the kid's got style!

The next video is of Kismet, a couple weeks after we got back from our vacation. Ben and Idealia came by for a visit, and Kismet was warming up to our doggies for the first time (she usually didn't enjoy all the kisses!), and showing off the new trick she had picked up. She had learned to stomp, or run in place, and I was trying to get it on video (is it just me, or is it almost impossible to get good pictures if a child running all over the place?!). It's amazing how something so small can amuse us so much! Sorry if the video is shaky, but I had to run in place in order to get her to do it. By the end of it, I think it was just amusing to her to watch me work so hard to get her to do something. She would just look at me with a smirk on her face as I worked up a sweat!!

Thank You Mom!!

Joe's Mom always sends us boxes filled with lots of goodies, for pretty much every holiday! She is so sweet! we look forward to it every time! She always send us things we cant get here in Colorado...
Like Moxie, Joe's favorite soda. Her gifts are always unique (things you can't always find at your regular store), and are always very meaningful!

Here's just a few of the unique gifts she got us for Easter:
Peeps stuffed animalsA Knights castle alarm clock (Before Joe left for BYU, he gave a talk about putting on the armor of God, and used a Knight as an example. Joe's Mom came to church to hear his talk, and since then Knights are a special thing between them.)A Knights tea potA Chinese wishing treeMom got me 2 earring and necklace sets.
This is my favorite piece. She sent us a lot of really great gifts!
The after math
Thank you Mom for all your Easter gifts!
We love each and every one!

Our Vacation

Our Vacation to Park City, Utah has come and gone. I'm sad it's over, but I have lots of great memories to hold me over until we see my family again. It was so nice to see everyone! I especially loved seeing my two nephews, Aiden and Carson....they have gotten so big!

The night before we left, we dropped off kisses and Thumbalina. Kisses went to stay at our friends house. I wasn't that sad dropping her off, because I knew she was in good hands, and that she was going to have lots of fun with Jack (our friends German Shepard...we LOVE jack). Although I was totally sad when we dropped off Thumbalina at the PetSmart Hotel. It was a very nice doggy hotel, but I didn't want her to think we were leaving her, and never coming back! I had nothing to worry about, because when we picked her up they said she did great, and loved playing with the other dogs!

Back to the vacation.
We left Saturday Morning, and went to pick up Ben, Idealia and Kismet. After everyone was in the car, and seat belted in, WE HIT THE ROAD!
It was a fun little road trip. We listened to lots of music, ate junk food, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery (for some of the trip. Sometimes the only scenery was a bunch of cows :)
Before we knew it, we were there...YAY!
I was so excited to see my family! I had butterflies...lots of them!

We got there Saturday afternoon.
We watched home movies, ate pizza, played cards, and painted Easter eggs!

Cheryl and I had the idea to get Easter baskets for the kids, so on Saturday night, we put our stuff together to create big baskets for everyone! There was a lot of stuff!!!

On Easter everyone dug into their Easter baskets (thank you Cheryl!!!), and after that the kids had an Easter egg hunt!
Later on Easter Sunday, we ate an Awesome Easter dinner (thank you Jim!), and went sledding!
