Our Christmas

The fun all started on Christmas Eve. Oh how I love Christmas Eve.

First, we delivered presents to a needy family here in Colorado. We dropped off the gifts, rang the doorbell, and hid. When the mother opened the door, She said, "Who brought all these gifts?" Then the kids answered, "SANTA!!" I was giggling so much, I thought for sure we were going to be caught!I absolutely love this tradition. I can't wait to do it with our kids someday.

Then we came home, and opened our PJ's. Hidden inside my PJ's, was the Beauty and the Beast the Enchanted Christmas movie. I watch that movie every Christmas Eve, but I didn't have an actual copy. Joe finally tracked one down. He's awesome like that.

We spent the rest of the night doing a few other traditions (you can read about those HERE), and then came Christmas morning!I look evil, but I was just really happy. Our homemade gifts to each other: For Joe, I framed a picture of us walking out of the Temple after being sealed, with a quote from our patriarchal blessing on it. And for me, Joe framed our tags from the Temple.
After we tore into our gifts, we got ready to have Ben and Idealia over.
We ate: Opened gifts: and made cookies:It was a good Christmas.
Ask Kismet. She'll tell you.

Our 5 year anniversary

For our 5th year anniversary, Joe took me to the Melting Pot.
We had never been there, and have always wanted to go!Joe had the restaurant put out roses, and balloons for me, at our special table! I was very surprised! He is the best, and I love him so very much!
When we got home, I gave Joe his gift. A jar with little love notes, wrapped in Hershey Kisses. He's been having fun reading a note from me, everyday!I love my life with Joe, and I'm so grateful to be his wife!

Valentine's Day

As you all may know, Valentin's day is one of my favorite holidays! This v-day, was one of my favorites!

Our Valentine's celebration, was almost a 3 day affair! ( Which is probably why it's one of my favorite! ;)

It all started on Thursday, when I met up with my friend, Betsy, to make cookie bouquets together, and drop off to our husband's work. My original idea, was to make a cake pop bouquet, but then my oh so creative friend, suggested a cookie bouquet! Why didn't I think of that? ;) So, I did a cookie, and a red velvet cake pop bouquet...all heart shaped of course!

First, we dropped off Joe's bouquet:Then, we went to Jeff's work, so Betsy, and her two daughters could drop of his bouquet!Did you notice the bite taken out of the, "Me 2!" green cookie? Well, there's a funny story that goes with this, and I'm going to have to tell it to you!
On the way into his office, Betsy and I were of course snapping away with our cameras. Betsy got her two girls together, so she could get a picture of them bringing their cookie into daddy's office. Just as she was about to snap the picture, her youngest daughter, took a big bite out of daddy's cookie! It was classic!

On Saturday, Joe brought me home flowers:
(He got creative with the fallen leaves and petals;)Sunday, Joe surprised me, by setting up his paint set that he got for Christmas, so we could paint together. This was a great surprise all by itself, because I LOVE painting with him, but when I opened my paint book, this is what I saw: He's too good to me. He really is.

After my big surprise, we started painting together. Joe loved painting with acrylic paint for the first time (we usually water paint)! He painted this beautiful mountain scene!:I was trying to paint a picture that symbolized the wonderful things Joe did for me this Valentine's day. It was supposed to be the heart necklace he got me, with warm fuzzies around it, because that's how it made me feel. Along with rose petals falling, to symbolize the roses he got me. Instead, this is how it came out:Complete with the misspelling of Valentine's day. Good job Brittany ;D (I promise I really do know how to spell it!:)

Later on that evening, Joe and I made a Deliciously Healthy dinner together:You can read more about that HERE

Hope you had a great valentine's day too!
